Brick Psychiatric Services welcomes referrals from psychiatrists, primary care physicians, therapists, psychologists, pediatric providers, and other healthcare professionals.

Our practice provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management, along with advanced treatment options including TMS and SPRAVATO® (esketamine).

Whether you are referring a patient for ongoing psychiatric care, a consultation, or evaluation for a specific treatment, our team aims to make the referral process straightforward and keep referring providers informed when appropriate.

Services We Accept Referrals For

Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management
Comprehensive psychiatric assessment and ongoing medication management for a range of behavioral and mental health conditions.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children and adolescents, with care tailored to developmental needs and coordinated with families and other treating professionals when appropriate.

TMS
Evaluation for transcranial magnetic stimulation for patients who may benefit from a noninvasive treatment option.

SPRAVATO®
Evaluation and treatment with SPRAVATO® (esketamine) for appropriate adult patients.

Suboxone Treatment
Evaluation and medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine/naloxone for appropriate patients with opioid use disorder.

Medical Cannabis
Evaluation for medical cannabis certification or ongoing certification management for patients who may qualify under applicable New Jersey requirements.

How to Refer

Complete our secure online referral form or send the appropriate referral information to our office.

2. We contact the patient.
Our team will reach out to the patient to complete registration and obtain any additional information needed.

3. We review clinical and insurance information.
For treatments requiring insurance authorization, our team will review relevant records and coverage requirements.

4. The patient is evaluated.
One of our psychiatric providers will determine the appropriate next steps based on the patient’s clinical needs.

5. We coordinate care.
With appropriate authorization, we can communicate with the referring provider and coordinate ongoing treatment.

What to Send

When available, please include:

• Patient name, date of birth, and contact information

• Insurance information

• Reason for referral

• Relevant diagnoses

• Current medications

• Psychiatric medication history

• Relevant treatment history

• Recent clinical notes

• Pertinent laboratory or medical information, when applicable

Additional documentation may be requested depending on the service and insurance requirements.

Already Managing Your Patient?

A referral for TMS or SPRAVATO® does not necessarily mean transferring the patient’s ongoing psychiatric care to Brick Psychiatric Services.

We welcome collaborative referrals and can provide the requested treatment while coordinating with the patient’s established psychiatric or medical provider, when clinically appropriate and authorized by the patient.
